NSW & ACT standardise at 2222

Great news regarding Australian Standardisation of the Hospital Emergency Number

After NSW Health Minister announced in August that the internal Hospital Emergency Number will be standardised across NSW it’s great to hear that 2 hospitals in ACT have also taken the step.

Congratulations to both Canberra and University of Canberra Hospitals who have updated their internal Hospital Emergency Numbers to ‘2222’.

We look forward to sharing the information regarding how they achieved this.

Please take a moment and find the hospitals you’re aware of on the attached map:
– Green phone hospitals use ‘2222’
– Amber phone hospitals use another internal emergency number
– Red phone hospitals – we are still awaiting data
– White phone hospitals don’t use an internal emergency number

Let us know if you have any information to help us complete the map.

Also please let us know where your hospital is up to in progressing towards the standardised internal Hospital Emergency Number.
