Unlabelled Face Masks

Unlabelled Face Masks

We have kindly been provided with unlabelled Face masks which have FDA & CE Certification. The FDA certificate number can be verified on the FDA website. The masks are not TGA approved.

The masks perform poorly on fit testing unless the ear loops are hooked together behind the head (see video below) in which case, on me at least, they performed better than any other N95 mask assessed.

You can check FDA certification through clicking on this link (see here).

This link describes how to help assess if certification is fake.

I took these masks along with some others for quantitative fit testing. It’s important to acknowledge that fir testing applies on ly to the individual being tested. The results were very interesting – the unlabelled mask above performed very poorly on me during fit testing yet when the ear loops were hooked together at the back of the head the mask then performed on me better than any of the others.

Results from top to bottom as per how masks are displayed above:

Very basic assessment of masks to see if they match N95 acceptance:

They hold water:

They are composed of 4 layers of material:

They do not ignite with open flame:

A nifty way to clip the ear hooks behind the head is through using a Clausen Hook (finally a use for them):
